I was privileged to design the packaging for the lovely Amanda Castleberry, who is a stunning photographer. The way she has used the pieces I've designed is gorgeous. So glad we got to work together, thank you!!

When I say "Death by Cookie In A Cookie" I mean that quite literally... Take some normal chocolate chip cookie dough, cover some cookies, and bake them. Yes, it's as easy as it sounds!! And it's one way of taking a "boring staple" like choc. chip cookies and adding some excitement. The way I layered it worked really well though, so try this technique of adding each layer on top of each other: one smaller scoop of cookie dough, your completed cookie (I used E.L. Fudge Cookies, Reeces, or an Oreo!), then, a larger scoop of cookie dough, squish them together, and fold the edges around so your inside cookie is hidden. Bake your cookie in a cookie, mine took about 16 minutes in a 375 degree oven, and when I took them out, they were slightly crunchy, but mostly soft. Part of the surprise is not knowing what the inside will be!! I bet you could try other inside cookies, too. Any interesting suggestions??

It's tough, and sad, and frustrating having a close family member that has an aggressive form of cancer. Anyone who has or is going through this, I am so sorry, because I know how it feels. And those who don't, I hope you never have to go through it. That being said, in the last year and a half, Mr. Bullock's side of the family has had some really beautiful blessing come from Dean's cancer. I know that sounds backwards, but we gotten even closer than we were, we have seen countless tender mercies and miracles, we have been able to help inspire and touch the lives of many, and have grown so much from the whole experience of it. I'm so grateful to have married into such an incredible, strong, loving, kind family. Couldn't have asked for anyone better.
And I feel so lucky to be Dean's daughter in law (I'm the fave, obviously!). He is incredible and I'm grateful that I got the chance to create this video of him. He has not let any negative word come out of his mouth, and has stayed true and faithful every step of the way. Not only that, but he has not stopped, or given up, or slacked in any way. He is a constant reminder to me that "Anything is Possible." Dean, I'm so glad you got your dream to compete in the Kona World Championship Ironman last month and that I got to be there to cheer you on every step of the way. You are awesome! Thank you for everything! Keep fighting!
P.S. Do you realize what it takes to compete in an Ironman? 2.4 mile swim into a 114 mile bike, followed with a 26.2 mile run? Wow.

Remember when I was a wedding florist? Me too. And I miss working with them! I've been considering doing posts about flower arrangements on this blog...any interest in that type of post?

I'm finally getting around to designing my new website and blog, which means I am finally getting around to refreshing my brand, too!
Start the experimentation process.
I love this part of designing, just throwing a bunch of ideas out there, even if they are awful. But if you don't experiment and try new things, then you'll never know if you like them. I found this quote about Experimentation and it embodies what I try to do when I start a design project. I wanted to be reminded about it time and time again, so I made an iPhone 5 Wallpaper for myself that I also wanted to share with you too. Click on the image below to enlarge it, save it, and use it as a wallpaper!
Also, I just signed up for Bloglovin'! It's an awesome way to keep track of all your blogs and what they post each day. Follow my blog with Bloglovin!

There are only two good things about ice in my book. One, I love eating ice. Drives Gregory CRAAAAZY, but I don't do it to annoy him...pinkie promise. The second good thing about ice is this video. And basically, there's nothing else good about ice, sorry winter, just not my fave. But I still think you're pretty!

Gregory and I have a new motto in life, and are doing our best to see it through every aspect of our lives. Which means taking lunch to work, spending less money, and being happy with what we have. Any suggestions on how else to live the simple life?
PS, do you see what I did there with that type treatment? #oxymoron
