Anniversary Info Graphics

Mr. Bullock and I trade off anniversaries. He get's all the odd number of anniversary years (1st year anniversary, 3rd year anniversary, 5th, 7th...and so on) and I do all the even numbers (2nd year anniversary, 4th, 6th, you get the point...) So this year it was MY turn to do our anniversary! And we agreed to keep things really low-key because we splurged, big time, on a Christmas vacation to HERE!! I'm basically dying with excitement about it!!! We are going with my sister and brother in law (she's the blogger for Freebies2Deals)!

Anyway, in order to keep our low-key anniversary exciting, I made him these cards with options printed on them. I printed them out, and mailed them to him from New York and made it home to Utah in time to celebrate our anniversary together in person! I wanted to share with you what a few of those cards looked like because I think they turned out really great! Take a look and maybe it will help spark some ideas for your next anniversary?!

Can you figure out all the infographics?? Which one do you think turned out the best?

DIY: Stud Collar

I think collared shirts are so adorable lately, and I've seen some adorable studded collar shirts on Pinterest lately. Studs like these ones below which you can find on my Style Board HERE.

So I decided to make my own! And it turned out really well, here is the final product below, and a how-to is below that. Repin if you like it!!

Supplies:

Shirt from DI $3.00
Studs from Joann's $3.00
Flathead screwdriver

The stud's are kind of like brads, so they unhook really easily! I used 11 for each side.

Put a under a sweater and you have an outfit for only $6.00!

Top 5 Places for Inspiration in New York

I'm missing New York right about now! And especially my favorite places to be inspired. I've been asked before, "How can you like New York? It's so crazy all the time!" Well here is my little secret:

I escape the city while staying in the city.

There are some beautiful parks in New York where you feel more centered and more in tune with what is happening in the world. Here are my top five outdoor places to stay inspired in such a hectic city.

1. Central Park

The grass here is the best in New York, and I love just laying in it on Sunday afternoons. Naps in the park and people watching are amazing here and I always end up with some new ideas when I leave.

2. The Boardwalk by the Hudson River

This was my favorite place to go running in New York. Everyone on the boardwalk is focused and motivated to run, bike, or rollerblade their hearts out, so it's perfect motivation for a great run every time to clear your mind.

3. Outdoor Concerts

This concert was for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and was in Brooklyn. There are so many concerts all the time in New York, the vibe and type of people at outdoor concerts are always great for new ideas.

4. Rockaway Beach

Okay, so this one is the technically outside of the city, but you can get there by subway, so it doesn't feel like it! Escaping to a beach is amazing inspiration because it's a very different change of pace. To get there, take the A line almost to the very end, then take the shuttle at Broad Channel to 91st street. Extra bonus? This exit has surfers you can watch!

5. The Highline

Tucked away in Chelsea, this park always has an upbeat energy as you typically walk through the park.  This was my favorite place for inspiration as I always left excited about life and ready to dive into a new project. I highly recommend going here!

Work Life Balance

Work life balance. It's kind of hard, right?

I feel ya!

Which is why a few of my classmates and I created a video precicely about work life balance. The video was created using stop motion, so YES, everything is an actual photo. And the objects you see are made out of paper! We printed, cut, folded and glued it all (no digital repeating of any objects)!

Do any of the facts we show resonate with you or surprise you?
